A "MUST HAVE" BOOK FOR CIVIL WAR BUFFSBy manuscriptmanI deal with a lot of Civil War items for my living ; and I and my friends have always used this book as a "Go to" book for quick reference on the facts concerning some campaign or civil War topic I am looking into. Instead of calling it a "Dictionary"; I would think of it more as a "Mini Encyclopedia" or "Amplified Dictionary" . The info is excellent; events and people well-covered; overall an incredibly well-done (and massive) work. My only issue was the size of the print - I wish it would have been a little bigger. I assume the choice in size was due to the size of the book itself (quite large!). This isn't a knock on the book; just a personal preference. A decent primer; but for me it didn't provide as much detail as I'd like across the board.
