I remember the horror stories that my mother told me he went through. It was pure hell on earth. Recently I recommended the book to the Barberton book club for reading and was told that they could not find any libraries that had the book. I would have to pick another. It is a good book and one that I feel should be read. The American people need to know what the POWs in any of the conflicts go through. The public needs to know how inhuman some of these organizations and countries are. They should be shown the same humanity (or inhumanity as the case might be). Sadly there are few books out there detailing what our POWs go through. Here is one and I dare folks to read it. I will probably have to buy and donate copies to the library; but that will be if they will only agree to put it on the shelf for the public.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
