A must read for those who were there; those who were not there anyone who wants to understand gain a insight into history.while being entertained . I put this up there as one of the best I've ever read/heard. Although I lived the Vietnam war (at the end of the underground); this is the first time I gained any understanding of it. (Not that I've ever understood any war) The story is fascinating. Probably the only book I've read more than once. The writer is fabulous she is an amazing actress. It gives insight on the plight of the peasants in a gripping page turner. The story of this little girl who we saw on the front pages back in the day is fascinating. That it is a true story; yet reads like a novel is amazing. The Kim Phuc story.By Bobby BA few weeks ago I noticed a reference in the paper about the young South Vietnamese girl who was severely burned by napalm in 1972. Almost everyone older has seen this iconic photograph. I bought this book to read about the young girl's tragic injuries; her fight to live; and her life since. Hers is certainly an interesting story and shows the horrors of war. I'd certainly recommend this book for anyone who has even a passing interest in the Vietnam War.
