Unless you follow Russian politics you may not understand his thesis. At times; I struggled with it; but at least I understand why Russia will never become a democracy. Putin works for the Russians because he is really their kind of guy. Yelchin0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Helps to explain the attitudes of Russians towards the U.S.By Kermit D. YensenBook offers important insights into the evolution of media behavior in Russia; as the political system there evolved from Communism to capitalism to the state centered capitalism they currently have. It helps explain the attitude of the Russian people toward their current situation in general and towards the U.S in particular. Having just returned from Russia; it was a valuable read in prep for going.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Read it! A great bookBy Phyllis G. GunkelI guess this should be a review of the book seller; but I don't recall having any problems. I think maybe the book arrived quickly and that was a plus. Mainly; tho; it's a great book--a real eye opener and maybe one the senators and Mueller could read to understand Putin and Russia.
