Review
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. La Salle 1682 ExpeditionBy John F. SwensonExcellent study of La Salle expedition which claimed Lousiana for France in 1682. Thorough review of historical and ethnographic studies not only of this "discovery" but of earlier native and Spanish activities. Very fine original scholarly study with some radical new interpretations. Definitely worth a place in the library of scholars of North America.John F. Swenson
