The Letter: My Journey Through Love; Loss; and Life

ePub The Letter: My Journey Through Love; Loss; and Life by Marie Tillman in History

Description

Fatal Vision is the electrifying true story of Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald; the handsome; Princeton-educated physician convicted of savagely slaying his young pregnant wife and two small children; murders he vehemently denies committing. Bestselling author Joe McGinniss chronicles every aspect of this horrifying and intricate crime; and probes the life and psyche of the magnetic; all-American Jeffrey MacDonald; a golden boy who seemed destined to have it all. The result is a penetration to the heart of darkness that enshrouded one of the most complex criminal cases ever to capture the attention of the American public. It is a haunting; stunningly suspenseful work that no reader will be able to forget.

It is so hard not to put yourself "there" in that situation; while reading this. I have cried and relived some grief of my own. What Pat gave to our country is indescribable. I feel that justice was NOT served for him. Marie gave just as much. God Bless her; Pat; and their families and friends. What a wonderful tribute and raw account of life.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Well written; heartfelt; tough readBy BarbZI read Krakauer's book and watched the documentary about Pat Tillman. This book draws the reader in; and appears to hold little back. The insights into Pat Tillman as a person and husband are deep. It takes guts to expose a relationship in this way.Part of the way through the book; I researched Marie Tillman; and was glad that I did. (Without being specific; she appears to have a new; fulfilling life.) I'm not sure I could have finished the book if I hadn't. It was simply too upsetting from so many perspectives. The book is well written; and a quick read; but emotionally trying so be prepared if you decide to purchase it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
