Its Good BUT!By DACY JI have to say I learned alot in this book; the way that it is written keeps your interest; the only complaint i have to comment on is that alot of whats written maybe starting from the middle; but more towards the end; the information is repeated in different sections; that made my eyebrow raise. If your not determined to finish the book; you would roll your eyes and put it down because the information repeats itself; makes you confused as if you read the section before and you havent because something new is in the same section..Its like that saying; "if you say it enough; maybe you will begin to think its true"..Hmmm is the information True?...1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. It seems redoneBy lajoya1It is more one sided; giving only the East Indian perspective. Instead of chroniciling the contribution of all the other races present during the time period covered.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Book does not live up to it's title.By H. BholaI got this book as a gift. I must confess myself disappointed when i read the book. Having grown up in Guyana and studied its history since I was 10; this book does a dismal job at what the title profess. There are spelling errors and typos at various parts in the book. The book itself tells a story from the authors point of view and it's not difficult to pick up on this. If you are looking for a book on Guyanese History any of the books by Vere T. Daly is a good choice; rather than this book.
