Joseph Smith claims that some of the Children of Israel got into a boat about 600 B.C. and made their way to America. This is briefly mentioned in Quest for America and then dismissed.It is said that these folks are the ancestors of the American Indians; though DNA studies do not find this to be possible. It says that there were three times that this voyage was take. It is often said that boat construction of the day was not capable of surviving an ocean trip like that.None-the-less; a Golden Bible was buried in a hill in the state of New York by an angel Moroni that contains the histories of these peoples who killed themselves into extinction except for one person who wrote the tales.Then Jesus; after his death in Israel came to Americas. Some say he was Quetzalcoatl.Then Joseph Smith retrieved the book and translated it from the reformed Egyptian language which people say does not exist until Book of Mormon.There is mention of plural marriage and that the New Jerusalem will be in Independence; Missouri. Of particular interest to me was the mention it was thought that there were inhabitants of the Moon.An absolute load of information to consider and ponder. Sorry but no.By celestial3Sorry to have to say that this is the usual comments by people who never where willing to change their lives by giving up worldly addictions to follow God; and the same attacks that have long been answered. Why are people who claim to believe in God so afraid to kneel down and just ask him if a teaching is the truth? They want to claim he exists and that they have insight or authority God never gave them. If God make his presence felt; it would prove he was real; and they would have to admit what they don't want to. If you want to know the truth about God; ask him to lead you to those who know the truth. But also ask him to give you the understanding to recognize truth from mistrust.
