The Naval Air War in KoreaBy John TolerAn excellent reference book; extremely readable. Written in 1986; it is slightly dated when the author makes comments about the future trends that were to come about after the Korean War; but on the important issues; he was on the mark.The story is told chronologically; with a lot of detail and many anecdotes. The accounts of the men; the ships and the aircraft involved in the various operations is clear and interesting; and the numerous asides add much to the enjoyment of the book.Hallion also has a few statistics I haven't seen elsewhere; I wish ther were more.If you are interested in this paricular conflict; or in Naval Aviation in general; you'll get a lot out of Naval Air War in Korea.0 of 4 people found the following review helpful.
