Immensely readable !By Fotini VourlekisRobert Bauval understands Egyptian culture and Egyptian past.He himsef was born in Egypt of an Egyptian mother.He explains very methodically the connection between the pyramids and the stars;especially Orion.The Egyptians believed the soul of the Pharaoh will join Orion.This is probably the beginning of Astrology.Bauval's book was very inspirational to me;and I totally understand his preoccupation with Egypt.I myself am Greek;born in Greece;and when you are born in a place that in essence is a Museum;you become steeped in that culture;it becomes part of your DNA.Greeks and Egyptians have been connected for thousands of years;with Egypt being the mother of three major reliegions: Buddism;Judaism;and Christianity;via Greek philosophy.Bauval's book totally reawakened my interest in Great Egypt.It is a great read.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
