Along with the predominantly Polish and Lithuanian 'winged' hussars served numerous foreigners from both within and outside the Commonwealth: Tatars and Cossacks; Wallachians; Transylvanians; Moldavians; Hungarians; Serbians and Albanians; and from the West; French; Italians; Dutch; Walloons; Swedes and Scots.
