A Sincere And Thorough Treatment Of The Fugitive Nazis Through The Eyes of A Native Argentinian Patriot and Anti-NaziBy James LateerThis book is outstandingly researched and written. I have more notes taken while reading this book than I have ever taken on a book in recent times. The information it provides on the fugitive Nazis in Argentina goes way beyond other books I have read on that subject. The reporting by Uki Goni on the Croation situation during World War II lays bare information that no other author I know of has even touched. The "ratlines" and how they benefitted the Croation genocide perpetrators is; by itself; a good enough reason to carefully read this unique book by Uki Goni.Goni carefully names each of the Nazis and collaborators and their history and their new roles in Argentina after they fled. The reader learns a good amount of Argentine history as well as the history of the flight of the Nazis. I now finally understand the situation of Evita and Juan Peron in context.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. This deserves much wider attention than it hasBy Merrill GuiceThis deserves much wider attention than it has. Peronistas were unable to shred or burn the documents of foreign intelligence agencies; thus; leaving the way open for Uki Goni to piece the story back together. Most surprising is the revelation that Peron was a complete adherent of National Socialism. Bringing the Nazi's in to Argentina was more of a ego trip as it served to prop up his own romantic illusions.Highly readable and recommended0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. An excellent read.By HeydrickThis book contains very compelling evidence of the collaboration between the Vatican; Argentinian Embassy and the America Red Cross to harness; protect and legally export the Top Nazi officials/leadership to build/run Argentinian government controlled business (CAPRIS) under Peron's Dictatorship. An excellent read...for time management; if you read the chapter on Adolph Eichner the pattern is the same throughout.
