Mija's new life in America is challenging compare to South Korean Asian culture with her new parents and a small son. Although she escaped South Korea; she meets a male student at University of Toledo who fought in Korean War in frozen land of North Korea. Through his story she recollects the flashback memories of Korean War; her family and friends. Later serendipitously; she finds her lost husband; Ichiro; through a friend; and she becomes involved in an agonizing triangle love affair. With surprising twist; this book is outstanding.
