Action-packed; true-history tales put you on the front lines. Experience World War II as it happened―hearing the deafening sound of guns firing at you; driving a tank through territory riddled with land mines; and the indecision of a prisoner of war choosing to wait for help or attempt an escape.

MilestoneBy Col Art Loughry; Marine Corps RetiredAlmost every history book since the publication of Mr. Ward's epic lists his two volumes as a reference. It is through and inspiring with almost a thousand pages of details. My view of hundreds of Revolution War books published since these two volumes are they lack the substance and understanding Ward gives the reader. Some are more entertaining; some are terrible copies. His contribution to our history deserves recognition as the best.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Written very well and cover the War from A to Z. I loved this book and will reread it because it is like a movie. You cannot catch everything the first time. Greatest book ever written about the American RevolutionBy Bill ChastainThis book is so entertaining that its easy to forget that it is the most referenced Revolutionary War book available. A must read for any student of American history. A real eye opener that dispels many of today's Politically Correct notions about America's early years - especially the interaction between the English; Americans; and Native Americans.
