The American Civil War would leave few parts of a divided land untouched. Florida was one of the places far removed from the areas of heavy fighting. Yet Florida would know the presence of war during the years of 1861 through 1865. The conflict nearly began in one of her coastal harbors; and the state would find its role to be steadily more prominent as the war progressed. Following early actions along the coasts and in surrounding waters; Florida became the scene of a growing number of battles and skirmishes. This is the story of Florida and the experiences of her citizens during this pivotal time in American history.

Are you kidding me?By Cynthia P.I bought this Kindle book without reading the details carefully enough. It is only 24 pages and reads more like a college paper about the electoral college than anything resembling a book. In fact; it is a paper to which I would give only a B grade. It raises questions without answering them; and it quotes at length from other people's work -- so not even all 24 pages are original. I was left feeling extremely ripped off -- even though I know the "caveat emptor" responsibility ultimately rests with me.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. each "page" is only a few sentences...so short!By J.L.M.Waste of money! It says 15 pages; but each page is only a few sentences!.The topics listed in the description are not chapter titles;they are merely boldfaced words within this tiny little pamphlet.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Two StarsBy Vanha AriasStraight to the point; a middle scholar can read this and understand. The font is in huge print.
