Several iterations of the book have tried to keep abreast of biblical research and this particular edition was the last one Anderson completed by himself. Since then there are newer versions by joint authors or even new authors. This is an excellent book for biblical students and pastors who want a biblical overview of research in the Hebrew Scriptures. Also quite good for Bible teachers who wish to delve into particular areas such as the shift in thinking about the Deuteronomic Historian and history that reshaped much of the writings of the Pentatecuh in a retrospective point of view. A good companion to other more recent Christian authors writing about the Hebrew canon.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Awesome bookBy Byeol KimLove; love; love the book. The book was in a very good condition. I like the contents of the book and is very interesting. I think all theology classes (easier ones at least) should have this book as their text book. It's already in ed. 5 which shows the popularity of this book. I like ed 5 much better than ed 4. Get this edition!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
