A great deal of specialized informationBy John MatlockIn most books about military equipment virtually all of the pictures are in black and white giving only a limited understanding of how these machines really looked. This book is intended to rectify this problem. I has a large number of photographs; many of which are in color; or as the British would spell it; colour. It concentrates mostly on post WW II vehicles; with only a few pictures giving wartime scenes. The black and white photos are used to illustrate unit markings and serial numbers. Color pictures; some as photographs; some as detailed drawings are included to give a more complete understanding of the British Army Standards. A detailed set of tables cover such things as divisional symbols. All in all; an amazing amount of specialized information of use to the interested reader. The author is a currently serving British Army officer.
