World War II Warships

ePub World War II Warships by John Batchelor in History

Description

Developed to meet the demand for a low-cost; high-quality history book; this text is an economically priced version of WESTERN CIVILIZATION: BEYOND BOUNDARIES; 6e. The Advantage Edition offers the high level of scholarship and engaging narrative of the full text; while limiting the number of features; images; and maps. Each volume is packaged in a paperback; two-color format that appeals to those seeking a comprehensive; trade-sized history text. Like its full-length counterpart; the Advantage Edition of WESTERN CIVILIZATION encompasses the full social and political story of Western Civilization within a wider definition of Europe that includes Eastern Europe; Scandinavia; and European frontiers. The text emphasizes Europe's interaction with the world and encourages students to question why and how history unfolded as it did.

RuthI enjoy adult coloring books. Coloring is a hobby I am developing because I no longer have the room to pursue my other passion -- 1/87 model railroading and other models -- cars in 1/24 and 1/18 scale; planes in 1/48 and 1/32 scale and ships in 1/700 scale. When I saw Dover Publishers and "Big Mo" on the cover; I knew this would be a winner. The pictures are detailed -- if you get this book; look at the fletcher class destroyer. You can see sailers manning the AA guns and an officer on the bridge looking up through his binoculors. You will need a knowledge of the ships and the era; because the author gives no indication of the associated hues. But you can't go wrong with basic gray.I use Crayola and Rose Art pecils; and I have recently addded some Prangs; Loews and Faber Castels to my pencil inventory. I have tried Prismacolor; but they tend to be too soft for me.I think this is a great product for adults who enjoy coloring military subjects.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
